Basic Camera Use

Learn the basics of your cameras controls.  F-stop, shutter speed, color temperature, ISO, lenses, basic flash are some topics that will be covered.  The relationship between the cameras controls will also be covered so a full understanding of stopping motion, and depth of field will be explained. 

A camera with more than just a program mode is best, but even if you only have a point-and-shoot camera this class will benefit you.

Advanced Camera Use

Creative ways to use the shutter speed to show, enhance and eliminate motion.  Off-camera flash techniques, custom white balance are some of the topics that will be demonstrated in this class.  For this class you need to have different exposure modes on your camera and interchangeable lenses is suggested.

Studio Photography

Ever wonder how studio strobes work?  We look at the equipment, light modifiers, backgrounds and the effect each has on a subject.  Posing and basic lighting styles will be cover.  You can take a few photographs with the studio equipment in this class but your camera must have manual exposure control and either a PC port or a hot-shoe.

One hour long.  $35

Understanding and Using Lightroom 3

Need a good overview of Lightroom?  Do you want to understand how and why Lightroom does what it does?  This class will go over the features of Lightroom 3 and you will understand the modules and how to use them.

Photoshop Basics

Not quite sure where to start with Photoshop?  This class covers the basic procedures that are available to users of Photoshop CS2 through CS5.  Color management settings, text layers, image adjustments, printing through Photoshop, important tool use, etc.

Don't need a full class?  Want a class during your schedule?  Let us know what topic you need help with and we will cover just what you need.  Flexible times for your private instruction too.  $50 per hour with a one hour minimum charge.
